Dina Lohan, the mother of actress and tabloid-fodder Lindsay Lohan, pleaded guilty to an aggravated DUI charge in New York. As punishment, the 51-year-old will have to provide 100 hours of community service before June 3rd, reports the Los Angeles Times.
As part of the plea agreement, after June 3 Lohan will face a one-year license suspension and will be required to install an ignition interlock device into her car. In addition, she will be required to attend alcohol-education classes and pay a $3,100 fine. If she fails to meet the terms of the plea agreement in the next year, it's possible that Lohan could face criminal penalties including jail time.
Dina Lohan was arrested last year when she was caught driving 77 mph in a 55-mph zone in Long Island, N.Y. Authorities say that Lohan registered a 0.20 percent blood alcohol level on a breath test. Similar to Washington State, the legal limit to drink and drive in New York is 0.08 percent. Because of her high blood alcohol level, Lohan was charged with an aggravated DUI in New York.
