Early Tuesday morning, authorities say that a suspected drunk driver struck the vehicles of two Washington State Patrol officers on the Ship Canal Bridge in Seattle, reports Q13 Fox.

The Washington State Patrol officers had pulled over on Interstate 5 as they responded to an accident. One of the officers was sitting inside his car when the alleged drunk driver drove by and struck the vehicles. That officer suffered minor injuries. The other officer was outside his vehicle and avoided injury.

The driver who caused the accident was arrested on suspicion of drunk driving, but was not identified. That individual now faces serious charges and potential penalties.
