Former Philadelphia Eagle quarterback Donavan McNabb spent one day in jail last week to serve his punishment for a misdemeanor DUI arrest, reports ESPN.

The 37-year-old McNabb was arrested on December 15, 2013 for the DUI just east of Phoenix, Arizona. McNabb reportedly owns a home in the area and he spent the night in a Maricopa County jail. At the time of the arrest, McNabb was charged with driving 81 mph in a 65 mph zone. It's not clear what McNabb's blood alcohol level was at the time, but the arresting officer had enough evidence to believe that McNabb was intoxicated.

McNabb could have faced a 10-day jail sentence. However, the former quarterback entered a plea deal where nine of the jail days were suspended. So McNabb checked into jail last Wednesday and checked himself out on Thursday morning without incident.
